The Name 'Robert Steele' Since the Year 1464 in Essex, England

The name ROBERT STEELE documented back to the year 1464 in Essex, England

While these men named Robert Steele could not be officially connected with the Georgia Steeles, this time line gives a look at the path the Steeles took to go from England, Scotland, Ireland and to the New World.  One common thread shared by most all Steeles is the fact they settled in good farm land.

Robert Steele b. 1464, Fairsted, Essex, England. This is a farming area about 50 miles northwest of London.  
He died in 1500 in England.

His son:  Robert Steele, his son, born 1500, Fairsted, Essex, England.  1518 married Anna Helter, 1497 – 1551, Essex, England, died October 15, 1550, Fairsted, Essex, England at age 50

His son:  Richard Steele b. 1590 in Ireland, died 1624 age 34 in England; married Hart age 30,in 1602

         The children of the two marriages of this Robert Steele numbered 15 and their births expand nearly 40 years.  Robert died in either May or June 1821 near Tazewell, VA on the farm he managed with his late father.  In his Will Robert provided for all members of both families in what he felt was a fair and equitable manner.  Tazewell, VA is located in southwestern Virginia near the Shenandoah Valley.
