The name ROBERT STEELE
documented back to the year 1464 in Essex, England
While these men named Robert
Steele could not be officially connected with the Georgia Steeles, this time
line gives a look at the path the Steeles took to go from England, Scotland,
Ireland and to the New World. One common thread shared by most all Steeles is the fact they settled in good farm land.
Disclaimer: The following information was found on
Ancestry.com in the published Gilpin/Moses Family Tree and may or may not be
documented. Furthermore, the
English-Scotch-Irish practice of repeating names through many generations makes
clarity difficult for genealogy researchers to sort out, as demonstrated here.
